No outfit is more classic (or easy) than jeans and a T-shirt. But, even this go-to combination can fill a bit dull at times. Fortunately, there are simple ways to spruce up this casual ensemble without much effort...all it takes is a little outfit inspiration! Next time you are feeling stumped on what to wear with your favorite pair of jeans, pull inspiration from these outfits... Go for jeans, tee and a long cardigan (add a scarf, fun necklace or denim shirt layer) Go for jeans, tee and a structured or boyfriend blazer (adding a graphic tee makes it even cooler!) Go for jeans, tee and a cool leather jacket (and my fav... a leopard shoe!) Hello Lovely marble & brass cheese board, $40.80 I LOVE wide-leg crop pants and jeans! In the summer, they are a fun alternative to shorts and in the cooler months, they are fabulous with booties. Many of my clients tell me that they want to wear them, but they are afraid to try them...they are not sure how to style them or they feel that they will make them look shorter. So, here are my tips for wearing and styling these fantastic pants.
I love black and navy options for a more professional look and white is perfect for summer.

Click here for the services list, and contact me here to purchase. I read about Austin based House of Margot Blair in The Scout Guide Austin. Her floral arrangements are some of the most beautiful and stylish that I have ever seen! Their specialty is weddings, but they also offer "Margot Minis" for "the times when you need event- worthy flowers in your daily life..because everyday flowers shouldn't be ordinary". I love having fresh flowers in my home - they just bring me joy. Pick up a Margot Mini for yourself, a friend or buy a gift card for the perfect, unique holiday present. I fell in love with Jo Malone when I visited their flagship store in London this summer. This "House of Jo Malone" has elegant fragrances for every room and every occasion...room sprays, candles, hand wash. Scent your home in sparkling style! Red and retro--two of my favorite things! This high powered kettle is the perfect gift for a tea lover AND it looks amazing sitting on a kitchen counter! Jonathan Adler's "happy-chic" aesthetic has always been a favorite of mine! This whimsical barware set is inspired by the original workout gear - classic barbells...because the perfect drink takes proper training! Give someone's desk a little "refresh" with this pretty Kate Spade tackle box of push pins, sticky notes, pencils, etc. I believe that our work spaces should be just as fashionable as we are! I am always on the hunt for fabulous champagne glasses...since this is my favorite drink! This gorgeous gold. brushstroke glass is my top pick for this holiday season. And, I love that it is from one of my favorite stores - Barneys. You know I love the sneaker trend! These D.A.T.E. sneakers are so much fun with the pink and gold and platform. The perfect gift for the fashionista in your life (or, maybe a little gift for yourself!) Gorgeous! Gift with several cheeses, toasted nuts and honey. The perfect hostess gift!
It's official, flared jeans are back in style (mine have never left my wardrobe!) I always get so many compliments when I wear them. Let's still love on our skinny jeans, but if you are ready to broaden your horizons and add some fun to your wardrobe, grab some flares...they really make our legs look a mile long! I have had so many clients ask me about flare jeans and what shoes to wear with them. The key to wearing a flare is to get the length right and then to pair them with the right shoes. There are so many stylish options for fall/winter..... A Nod to My First Memory of Flares Farrah Fawcett...I wanted to be her..hair, flares, everything! Cropped Flares Cropped flares are so on-trend! The perfect length for this jean is right above the ankle and a frayed hem makes them even more stylish. Wear them with a bootie, fun block heel, closed toe pump (in leopard print!), flats or even a sneaker. Regular Length Flared Jeans Ankle boots, platforms, wedges, chunky heels, clogs and sneakers...these all look amazing with flared jeans! The perfect length for this style is 1/2" to 1 " off the ground (I prefer mine on the longer side). This length creates the long, lean silhouette, while still showing just a bit of shoe as you stride. So, you may need a few pairs of flares...some hemmed for flats/sneakers and some hemmed for heels/wedges. Now, what tops, jackets and accessories work best with flares?
I will show you how it should be done! Contact me if you are ready to amp up your fall/winter wardrobe. I would love to work with you! Sheri sheriterrellstylist@gmail.com www.sheriterrell.com/ 512-771-1590 Summer is here, which means it is time to update your wardrobe with this season's latest trends! From florals to pastels and straw accessories to mules, the summer trends are fun and exciting to wear. Here are my favorites... Fresh Floral Prints Such beautiful bold new blooms--sometimes even two prints worn at once. A bit shy about this trend? You can start out small with flower-powered shoes and bags. High Impact Hues Vibrant saturated shades, from bold blues to electric hues. Don't be afraid to experiment with "bright on bright" or amped up accessories. The New Pastels Add some icy, creamy colors to your summer looks...mint, lilac and muted yellow. These perfect pales are anything but delicate..add a bold lip or throw a pastel accessory on with an edgy black look. Straw Accessories Shoes and bags in woven raffia, wicker and straw in cool, modern shapes. Wear these everywhere this summer - dress them up or dress them down and see how they elevate your look! Mules and Slides I am obsessed with mules and slides! So many different colors, textures and heel heights. They are the perfect piece to pull together a chic look in a hurry and they look especially cool with jeans or shorts and an off the shoulder blouse or a simple white tee, gold jewelry and your fabulous sunglasses. Are you ready to kick off your summer with some new, fun, trendy pieces for your wardrobe?

Now that everyone is an expert at cuffing their jeans with their booties and pairing the correct necklace with the correct neckline (and, you are all looking fabulous by the way!), I will continue with the most common questions I get as a Personal Stylist..."I think it would be fun to mix patterns, but I am not sure how to do it. I don't want to look silly!" This is a good one. Mixing patterned clothing is one of the best ways to upgrade your normal look, and have a little fun with your wardrobe. It doesn't have to be intimidating, and in fact can be easy to pull off. Here are a few of my tips and ideas to effortlessly mix and match patterns and look like the expert fashionista! Want to start simple? Just add a contrasting pattern accessory. This is usually done with a scarf, handbag or shoes. Stripes!! This is one of my favorite patterns and it will continue to be so on-trend moving into spring/summer 2018. It is such an easy pattern to wear and it's also a pattern that most people already have in their closet. I consider stripes a neutral and mix it with all other prints...plaids, dots, florals, paisleys, and animal prints. Same Color Family. Another way to mix patterns is to mix patterns that share the same color scheme or mix a pattern that shares at least one color with the other pattern. For example, in the picture below, the blouse and skirt both share the color peach. Vary The Scale of The Patterns...a more advanced, bold way of mixing patterns. Large florals with small florals, large argyles with small checks, large checks with small checks...you get the idea. If you feel like your pattern choices may be a little busy, ground them with solids...add a solid jacket, vest, belt, scarf or tights. Are you ready to kick your outfits up a notch? Either in a subtle way or a more bold way?
Mixing patterns is meant to be fun! It is an easy way to turn your look into a modern, fashion forward one. As a Personal Stylist, I work with my client's current wardrobe, suggest new clothing, accessories and shoes to add to their wardrobe and then work my magic! I create new outfits - even mixing patterns - if she is game! I also create personalized Pinterest Style boards - this is an easy way to refresh your wardrobe with new clothes, accessories and/or shoes. This service is a great place to start with a Personal Stylist and it can all be done through email! I would love to work with you. Cheers!
