Ankle boots and jeans are such a trendy combo this season—but they are also notoriously tricky to pair together. There are so many awesome jeans this season-of course there is the tried and true skinny, but I also love cropped hems and boyfriends with a great pair of ankle boots. If you tend to reach for your skinny jeans every time you’re in the mood to wear ankle boots, it’s time to change things up and add some variety. Here are some handy tips to make sure you know exactly how to wear booties with jeans. SKINNY JEANS For a trendy, current look, cuff your jean above the ankle and show a hint of skin - this will help visually elongate your leg. Don't tuck your jeans into your boots - this creates a stumpy look because there is no break in the line of the leg at the ankle. The Big Cuff-turn your jeans up 3- 4 inches. This is a great look for a longer leg. The Double Cuff - simply fold the hem of your jeans about one inch, and then fold a second time to get the desired length. This is the perfect look for a shorter leg. A little tip: it’s often easier to cuff your jeans before putting them on, and then just adjust afterwards as needed. CROPPED JEANS Cropped jeans are a cinch to style with ankle boots because you don't have to do anything-as long as the hemline falls above or right at the top of your boot. This is definitely a more fashion forward look and these jeans are especially on trend if they have a frayed or flared bottom or both! BOYFRIEND JEANS Roll the hem a few times to create a messy cuff - boyfriend jeans are great with a flat or heeled ankle boot - try a colored or patterned boot for a fun, edgy look!
